  1. Just shows how out of touch with reality the WWE & its writers are….

I’m sorry but Sandow was given 3 crap rip off gimmicks, that I can remember, genius, macho man and finally miz (stunt double) and be absolute knocked them out the park…. The crowd loved him….

Maybe people should grow some balls instead of missing HHH ass and tell him the current ideas are Rubbish and need fixing… How the hell can you not write for Sandow? My dog could write for Sandow……

Maybe he’d just had enough and asked for his release but ….. HOW CAN YOU NOT WRITE FOR SANDOW?!!

  2. Wow… just… wow….. Sandow was easily the most over person in WWE early last year with the “stunt double” gimmick and came out to fairly loud pops (for modern WWE). He then mysteriously disappeared from RAW only to re-surface as half of the Mega Powers thing until it was canned suddenly because of the Hogan situation. He almost had a Raw match against Baron Corbin a few weeks ago, but it turned out just to be a set piece for the Ziggler feud.

The guy is a hell of an entertainer and loved by fans. Clearly that means he had to go.

  3. I actually thought that his allegiance with Miz had a limitless supply of miles left in the tank. The WWE could’ve swerved us by having Miz fire Mizdow, Miz “injure” Mizdow leading to Mizdow being off camera for a while. Have Miz engage in an Intercontinental Title feud only to have Damien Sandow come out to assist the Miz into winning the Intercontinental Championship. Think Buff Bagwell / Scott Steiner type shenanigans from back in the day.

That would’ve been the perfect way for Sandow to shed the “Stunt Double” gimmick gracefully and recreate the Damien Sandow brand as his own man aligned with The Miz. It could’ve been the second coming of HBK & HHH ’97.
