DieHard’s Reaction:
Let me first give you the disclaimer that the synopsis above was jacked from Marvel Studios. Why? Two reasons. One – I’m NOT a “comic guy”. Two – I have no clue what the f*** was going on in that trailer!

That’s not necessarily a bad thing. You have to check your sense of reality and your brain at the door when you go into these kinds of movies. Personally, I think the market is getting a little over-saturated with the comic films and TV spin-offs – but if they keep making that kind of global box office bank – then my opinion ain’t worth s***.
Doctor Strange is a strange property – no pun intended. While his gimmick is unique – he was never a prominent favorite. Those comics weren’t flying off the shelves and there was no demand for his inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Almost feels like Marvel is scrapping the bottom of the barrel to get their hands deeper into your pockets. But if they made a jabrone comic like Guardians of the Galaxy a monster success, then I have nothing but full confidence that Doctor Strange is going to make you lose your s***!

Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek, Black Mass) is perfectly cast in the titular role, as if it were custom designed for him. The cast of Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Tilda Swinton (Trainwreck), Rachel McAdams (Wedding Crashers) and Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) give the film legitimate star power from some of Hollywood’s best support actors.
As for the film itself, be prepared for an absolute mind-f***. If the movies Inception and The Matrix were able to have sex, this would be their hallucinogenic child. This is kicking up the CGI eye-porn to the max! How the scope of this film will fall into place with the existing Marvel Universe is beyond me. The only thing that would make this movie any better, would be seeing Vince Russo watch this film after a couple of puffs of “the pot”.
DOCTOR STRANGE opens in theaters on November 4, 2017.
