Hello Brand members and casual site visitors. Wow it’s been too long since I provided content here. I apologize to the readers, visitors, Brand members and especially Jeff and Vince for being a bit of a flake for the last month or so. But I’m happy to be back to talk about a few things.

1. Rumors of WWE Wanting to Sign James Ellsworth to a Full-Time Deal

I’ve been hearing numerous reports regarding this particular story and I do feel a bit conflicted about it. On one hand I’m happy for the guy to be able to do something that he’s worked so hard for and be able to make a living doing it. It was an absolute phenomenon that some random dude who showed up on Raw to get squashed by Strowman is now one of the most over guys in the company. However on the other side of that coin, it goes to show just how drastically the WWE fanbase has changed over the years that something like this could have happened. Had this been 20 years ago, I highly doubt he’d be lasting as long as he has but since he’s caught on with the, I’m going to go ahead and say it, increasingly geekier fan base, he was able to translate his look and his character into something very appealing for the internet wrestling fan base that now dominates mainstream wrestling. My final verdict however, I actually think it might be good to have him around. He’s something different and it’s been a very long time since they’ve had a lovable jobber that the crowd can get behind, even if they know he’s going to get the crap kicked out of him. I just wish creative would put as much effort into everyone else as they do into him.

2. Trailer Park Boys Out of the Park: Europe

brandonfeature

I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive going into this as I wasn’t sure how they were going to do this without the rest of the cast to play off of, presumably at least. But they managed to put something together that was very unique and entertaining and kept me laughing throughout the entire mini-series. Basically it’s kind of like Trailer Park Boys meets Jackass in that the boys arrive in Europe thinking they’re going to have a paid vacation filmed and it turns out that in order to get any money to do anything, including eat, they have to perform some pretty messed up tasks including but not limited to: Drink 6 non-alcoholic draft beers and hold their urine for 6 hours, compete in the Berlin Marathon, last 3 rounds with a heavyweight champion boxer or give him two shots below the belt, stop at least 1 out of 10 shots from NHL legend Peter Forsberg, wear a 10″ strap on dildo for the day and get additional money for each picture of them banging a statue with it, and stealing a pair of Queen Elizabeth II’s panties to name a few. I honestly don’t know if the boys were told ahead of time of the tasks as there are a few of them they would have had to have been but there are at least a few I can confidently say I think they were kept in the dark about until it was time so that they would be able to react appropriately while in character and it would come off natural and realistic.

3. South Park

Did those guys get thrown a curveball or what? Last week they had their episode written with the presumption, based on the data at the time, that Hillary was going to be elected president. And of course we know now that didn’t work out so that forced them to do a re-write the day it was supposed to air and I’m sure that drastically shifted the direction of the story they were originally heading. The episode that did air I personally thought was kind of weak but considering what happened is completely understandable. The Gentlemens’ Club idea that they brought out I also felt fell flat. I will say this though, as someone who was there for this particular Internet phenomena, I popped pretty big when they brought it out at the end of the episode.

4. Final Thoughts

That’s really all I’ve got for now. But if you all could do me this big favor I’d really appreciate it. Just be nice to other people around you. Do small things for them no matter who it is. Everyone is very worried right now because the future is so uncertain that even just a small gesture could go a long way for someone. And don’t forget to tell the important people in your life how much they mean to you cause they might not be there tomorrow. That about wraps things up. I hope you enjoyed reading, goodbye for now and God bless.
