Have the MARKS convinced themselves that professional wrestling is real? That is the question Vince Russo asked himself after the 2018 WWE Royal Rumble, based on the show being booked 100% for the Internet Marks. By putting over two Japanese wrestlers in both Rumbles, who take pride in “strong style” fake wrestling (yes, that is an oxymoron), it can now be made official that characters and storylines are completely gone from today’s business in favor of fake fights that look more like Cirque du Soleil than professional wrestling. Why does the WWE continue to go after fans they already have, instead of trying to lure new ones–that is the question. From there Vince and Big Vito put over the female Royal Rumble, only after Vince buries Stephanie McMahon for attempting to put over his friend, Chyna.
