I believe it was a Friday night. It was the night that Hulk Hogan was inducted into the Madison Square Garden Hall of Fame. Growing up on Long Island, the Garden was always the MECCA of sports and entertainment for us New Yawkers, and despite my personal history with the Hulkster, him getting his name raised to the rafters in the Garden was . . . well . . . a pretty big deal.

I proceeded to log into the back end of Pyro & Ballyhoo as I had hundreds of times before, when I discovered that I had been locked out of my own website. From there I would never write another article on a platform that I was so proud of. You see, Pyro & Ballyhoo was my first ever official website and I took such great pride in it. I wrote every single day, sometimes three, four stories a day. I was so proud of it, the look, the content, everything. Then one day, just like that, gone . . . poof . . . no more.

No, I’m not going to talk for one second about that dark day. It took me a while to get over it and I finally did. What I want to talk about today is a brand new beginning. Thanks to the love, hard work and labor of Mr. Jeff Lane . . . RussosBrand.com is born today!

Man, I haven’t written in a while, and tomorrow I’m going to write, and write some more to fill this empty site with content that I hope you will enjoy. Even though I have grown to hate writing over the past 25 years, I am happy to be back in the chair, behind this desk and this keyboard once again.

For those of you who have remained seated with your seat belts on for the duration of this ride, I can only promise you one thing . . . the best is yet to come.

From the bottom of my heart, Jeff, I thank you for helping me get my mojo back!
